Life is difficult and no one should go through the tough times alone. I'm Reniqe Wallace and I've been passionate about working with people since I can remember. I am registered with the ASCHP (Reg: WC24/6059) as a Wellness Counsellor and I am blessed to have the opportunity to create a space where you can feel safe enough to open your heart to me. My goal is to walk your journey with you until you feel ready to walk on your own again. As your wellness counselor, I promise to treat you with kindness and respect.


A little bit of my story

I'm a big advocate for mental well-being as I believe it's the core of general well-being. I chose to become a counselor because I deeply care about supporting people through their struggles, big or small. 


Life doesn't come with a manual; sometimes we don't know how to deal with some of the difficulties that life throws at us, but the good news is that we don't have to deal with these difficulties alone. 


I've had my fair share of difficulties in life, but I've also seen the beauty that comes with healing. Having walked my own journey toward mental well-being. 


I understand the importance of healthy coping mechanisms and want to offer others the same freedom and peace that come from finding effective ways to manage life's challenges. I aspire to be a lantern, guiding my clients toward a better, more content version of themselves. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where anyone can feel heard and understood, because everyone deserves a helping hand, and I’m here to provide that support.


Individual counseling

When you come to me for trauma counseling, I want you to feel safe and supported as you navigate through the pain of your experiences. Together, we’ll work through the memories, fears, and emotions that may still be affecting you. I’ll help you process what happened, rebuild trust, and regain a sense of safety in your life. My goal is to guide you toward healing and help you develop tools to manage the lingering impact of trauma.


If you’re struggling with loss, I’m here to support you as you move through this difficult time. Grief can feel overwhelming and isolating, but in our sessions, you’ll have a compassionate space to express your feelings, whether they’re of sadness, anger, or confusion. I’ll help you understand the stages of grief, process any unresolved emotions, and find ways to honor your memories. Together, we’ll work on building resilience and gradually finding a path forward.

In emotional regulation counseling, I help you gain control over intense emotions, so they no longer feel overwhelming or disruptive. Together, we’ll explore what triggers certain feelings and identify healthier ways to respond when emotions run high. Through techniques like mindfulness, cognitive restructuring, and grounding exercises, I’ll guide you in building the skills needed to manage your emotions more effectively. 


The goal is to help you feel more balanced and in control, empowering you to respond thoughtfully rather than react impulsively in challenging situations. 

In addiction counseling, we’ll take a close look at the patterns and triggers that contribute to your struggle, whether it’s with substances, gambling, or other behaviors. My focus is on helping you manage cravings, identify healthier coping mechanisms, and create a solid plan to prevent relapse. I’m here to guide you in addressing the root causes of your addiction so you can work toward lasting recovery and a healthier, more fulfilling life.

As an athlete, you face unique challenges both on and off the field. Sports counseling with me is designed to help you handle performance pressures, build resilience, and stay mentally strong in the face of setbacks. I’ll work with you on techniques to manage feelings of anxiousness, sharpen focus, and maintain motivation, whether it’s dealing with an injury or a tough loss. My goal is to support not just your performance, but also your overall mental health, so you can thrive both in sports and in life.

In mood management counseling, I work with you to understand and regulate challenging emotions, such as anger, sadness, or irritability. We’ll explore triggers, thought patterns, and coping mechanisms to help you respond to situations in ways that feel healthier and more balanced. 


Through a variety of practical strategies , and relaxation exercises, I’ll support you in gaining control over your moods. The goal is to empower you to feel more steady and resilient, so you can navigate emotional ups and downs with confidence and clarity.

In mindfulness and wellness counseling, I help you create a more balanced and grounded life. We’ll explore techniques like breathing exercises, meditation, and mindful movement to manage feelings of anxiousness. Together, we’ll look at lifestyle areas—sleep, nutrition, exercise—to nurture your overall well-being and identify small, supportive changes that fit naturally into your routine. 

My goal is to help you feel more connected, resilient, and centered, so you can handle life’s challenges with greater peace and clarity.

Couples counseling

  • Effective communication is at the heart of every strong relationship. Our sessions focus on helping individuals and couples develop clear, empathetic, and honest communication skills. Through guided exercises and expert strategies, we enhance your ability to truly listen and understand one another, reducing misunderstandings and fostering deeper connections.


  • Trust is a crucial foundation for any relationship, and restoring it takes time and guidance. We offer a supportive environment to help partners rebuild trust after breaches or strengthen their trust in one another. Our approach encourages openness, patience, and accountability, empowering both partners to restore confidence in their bond.

  • Disagreements are a natural part of any relationship, but handling conflict in a healthy way can be challenging. In our conflict resolution sessions, we provide tools and techniques to manage disagreements respectfully and constructively. By understanding underlying issues, we guide you to solutions that bring peace, mutual respect, and long-term harmony.

Understanding each other's attachment styles and love languages can improve closeness and compatibility. We help individuals and couples identify their attachment tendencies and love languages, which enhances empathy and supports each partner’s emotional needs. With this knowledge, you can foster a relationship that respects each other's unique ways of giving and receiving love.
